Benjamin J. Ventresca, Jr. Partner

Benjamin J. Ventresca, Jr. has worked as a consultant to a wide array of business for over thirty-eight years, and has established his credentials in strategic planning, organization development and operations management, and marketing management and market research. He currently serves as the managing partner of Brandywine Consulting Group, Inc., a position that he has held since 1987.

As a principal in the consulting operation, Mr. Ventresca maintains direct involvement on selective client engagements, as well as performing his responsibilities as chief executive officer and marketer. His hands-on approach to consulting has afforded him the opportunity to interact with all levels of the clients' organization and to act as a catalyst for change across levels and departmental boundaries.

Mr. Ventresca has consulted to senior management of organizations ranging from Fortune 50 firms to small businesses as well as to nonprofit entities. His focus has been on helping clients to build strong organizations, to assess market trends/ opportunities, and to develop business and marketing strategies and tactical approaches.

From creating mission statements through strategic planning and tactical execution, he has worked closely with these clients to move beyond planning to implement management approaches and policies that build on effective infrastructure to realize long-term objectives.

Building on foundational business-management disciplines and honed by ongoing experience with diverse client environments, Mr. Ventresca works with clients to develop and implement organization strategies and policies to minimize operational risks and secure future vitality through clear visions and well-defined succession plans.

His expertise in formulating integrated approaches to relationship marketing and tailoring the infrastructure has helped clients achieve high levels of brand awareness and affinity; and to build a culture designed to stimulate customer/member relationship and retention while strengthening internal communications and interaction.

Building on his science and engineering background, Mr. Ventresca continues to work in market research and statistical modeling. Over the past fifteen years he has focused on analyzing and predicting demographic shifts in population and the resulting changes in norms and attitudes regarding a full spectrum of matters ranging from discretionary spending priorities and buying habits to family composition and influences.

Susan Statler Partner

Susan Statler has worked as a consultant to a wide array of business for over twenty-eight years, and has established her credentials in marketing, market research, operations management, and systems development. She currently serves as partner and director of operations of Brandywine Consulting Group, Inc., a position that she has held since 1987.

As a principal in the consulting operation, Ms. Statler maintains direct involvement on selective Client engagements, as well as performing her responsibilities as chief operating officer. In addition to her consulting responsibilities, she is responsible for resource management, project management, and quality control.

Since co-founding Brandywine in 1987, Ms. Statler has also served as Manager of Information Services of Farm Journal Publishing, Inc. Prior to that time; she held positions as a Senior Consultant for a regional consulting firm, and as a circulation/readership research analyst for a major publisher.

Her consulting experience has a strong basis in operations management and she has designed and implemented successful operations infrastructure changes for small businesses in the distribution, manufacturing, retail, and services industry segments.

Ms. Statler's personal focus has been on helping Clients to understand their markets through quantitative and qualitative market research, and to capitalize on market opportunities through pro-active decision-support systems.

Building on her extensive research expertise, she is the lead consultant of Brandywine's BCG SmartCheckTM service, and is the primary client interface throughout the screening process.

Blending her operations management experience with her systems background, she is responsible for the design and continued evolution of Brandywine's proprietary SMMART® family of integrated field sales and customer relationship management systems. This system has been the primary channel of field management and reporting for a Fortune 100 firm for over eighteen years.

In the publishing environment, her accomplishments include the design and implementation of comprehensive desktop publishing systems, which served editorial, graphic arts, and pre-press operations in highly versioned environments, and the design and implementation of networked systems for integrated publishing activities. These experiences form the basis for her leadership in the development and continued tuning of the dynamic and highly visual web platform that supports Brandywine's cause-marketing programs.

John Burns Principal

Since 1993, John has created award-winning visual work for both print and digital media. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, he has worked with such well-established design firms as Anspach, Grossman, Portugal of New York; and NGS Associates, Inc., in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

As a principal in the consulting operation, Mr. Burns maintains direct involvement on selective Client engagements, as well as performing his responsibilities as Creative Director.

John's experience includes the proposed redevelopment of the American Express brand, a corporate identity program for OKI Printing Solutions and branding for La Salle College High School. He is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and other professional design organizations. He has taught typography and corporate identity as an adjunct professor of graphic design at Philadelphia University and typography at Moore College of Art and Design.
